Mythology as a Vehicle for Personal Growth
How Diana's Grove uses Mythology to teach
For information on Mystery School 2009
Archetype means original pattern and myths give the original patterns
of human behavior a place to live. A myth gives the timeless aspects
of human nature a closet full of cultures to dress in, and a variety
of personal histories and personalities to put on and wear. The archetypes,
the gods, goddesses and timeless mortals, are the keepers of the blueprints
that tell us about ourselves.
A myth is a hall of mirrors and you can journey down that magical corridor
with those endless principles of being. Go ahead, look. Catch a glimpse
of yourself. Who is that timeless adventurer?
A myth lets you peek into your own psyche. It invites you to walk around
in the subconscious of the collective mind. A myth will enable you to
interact with beliefs that you didn’t know you had.
If we’re going to enter the subconscious, the collective mind
of our culture, let’s make some changes while we are there. Let’s
rearrange the furniture.
If we can tell a story differently, we can tell our own ‘story’ differently.
We can then story our own lives differently.
